There is still no hard evidence to confirm the landing of Snowden in Venezuela. It’s almost certainly a rumour with no confirmation from Snowden, Maduro, any news network in Venezuela or basically anyone not on the web.
No one person offered their every living moment to helping the poor, exploited, hungry and oppressed people as much as Chavez. May he rest in peace, he will be forever missed by all those who love justice and equality and just as importantly forever despised by the bourgeois.
I miss Hugo, a lot.
VENEZUELA-NICARAGUA: The two countries strengthened their ties of cooperation and solidarity as Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro visited Managua to talk with president Daniel Ortega and to sign a number of agreements between both nations. The agreements include the sharing of Nicaraguan Police’s experience on fight against crime and the union of PSUV and the Sandinista youth movements. After a visit to the Salvador Allende harbor in the lake of Managua, Maduro said to the press that “the cooperation (between Venezuela and Nicaragua) will increase and deepen. Now there will be more cooperation in the fields of energy, food, finance, social programs, tourism and commerce”. Also, Maduro and Ortega issued a stron warning against Colombias alleged plans to apply for a NATO membership. Ortega called such plans, in case they are confirmed, for “totally unacceptable”, since they go against the consensus among the Latin American countries to declare the region as a zone of peace, free from nuclear weapons. Ortega recalled that NATO is a threat to world peace, engaged in various wars and crimes all over the world. Besides, he pointed out that NATO is an ally of the UK, which in turn occupies the Falkland islands. “I haven’t seen any Latin American country applaud Colombia’s decision to join NATO”, he said.
